This is the best value in Alaska wilderness fly fishing

Reel Wilderness Adventures is owned and operated by dedicated fly fishers specifically for fly fishers that want to experience the best in Alaska wilderness fly fishing.

We offer you a fully guided world-class wilderness fly fishing adventure for five species of fish: Rainbow Trout, Arctic Char, Arctic Grayling, Northern Pike, and Sockeye Salmon. Our team of professional licensed fly fishing guides is the best and most experienced in the area. We have been guiding this lake system for 12 years. We know the area and know where the fish are.

Your schedule will be flexible, giving you maximum time on the water doing what you came to do, fly fish. Most evenings we will head up to the river to check out the evening bite and play a little catch and release. The camp atmosphere is relaxed and casual.

Alaskan sport fishing adventure We are located in the remote Wood-Tikchik State Park in the Bristol Bay region of Southwest Alaska, right in the heart of Bristol Bay's Trophy Rainbow Trout area. Rivers in our area hold some of the highest concentrations of Rainbow Trout in Alaska. The river closest to our camp, just a short 15 minute boat ride, was voted to be one of the top ten Rainbow Trout rivers in the nation. This river is one of the finest rivers in Alaska for consistently catching Big Rainbow Trout on a dry fly. The healthy population of large Rainbows is largely due to the huge runs of Sockeye Salmon that enter the lake system every summer to spawn.

Last summer over 3.5 million Sockeye Salmon entered this lake system. Healthy Salmon runs makes for healthy fisheries. In addition to catching Rainbow Trout that are as long as your arm and tremendous numbers of Salmon, you will catch big hungry Arctic Char, beautiful Arctic Grayling and aggressive Northern Pike. This is truly world-class wilderness fly fishing at its best.

Fly casting and fly fishing instruction is always available for those wishing to learn or improve their fly fishing skills. Our guides pride themselves on being teaching guides and are happy to share their knowledge to assist you in your efforts to catch the beautiful wild fish that are so abundant in our lake system. Over the years we have taught many the joys of fly fishing. Alaska is the prefect place to learn or improve your fly fishing skills because there are so many fish. You are catching fish while you are learning to fly fish. All of this is in a pristine wilderness setting with small groups, comfortable accommodations and great food. We are the lodge alternative!

We keep our groups small by accommodating a maximum of 8 guests in camp at any one time. The small group size is to insure you experience the type of Alaska wilderness fly fishing trip you have been dreaming of. The small group size makes it easy to customize the trip to your own wants and desires.

We do it the way YOU want.

    Dave,

Terry and the Big Rainbow Trout he caught on a dry fly I want to thank you for one of the best fishing experiences a person could ever have. I use to envy the people that traveled to New Zealand or South America and the stories that they returned with - but not anymore. I think now that they should envy me because I have now had the privilege of fishing at one of the best spots in the world- the Agulukpak River in Alaska. Where else can a person lose count of how many Rainbows over 20 inches they've landed? Where else can an angler find that 3X tippet is often not big enough to stop some of the fish they will hook into? Where else can a person catch a personal best 27-inch Rainbow on a dry fly with a 3-weight rod, like I was fortunate enough too?

Your staff was first rate. They were both knowledgeable and patient with all of us. The camp was truly comfortable, the location was ideal, and the magic that Ben could preform with all our meals was something that I will remember for a very long time.

    Thanks again,
    Terry Imlay
